PRESCRIBED FEES FOR THE ACCEPTANCE AND APPROVAL OF PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND FOR THE MAKING OF ALL INSPECTIONS PURSUANT TO OHIO R.C. 3781.102 SHALL BE ASSESSED A SURCHARGE OF 1% (ONE PERCENT) FOR RESIDENTIAL PERMITS AND 3% (THREE PERCENT) FOR NONRESIDENTIAL PERMITS. ALL APPLICABLE PERMITS ISSUED BY THE CITY OF EUCLID SHALL BE ASSESSED THIS FEE IN ADDITION TO THOSE DESCRIBED ABOVE.
THE PERMIT FEE SHALL BE DOUBLED WHENEVER A JOB IS STARTED PRIOR TO OBTAINING A PERMIT.

There shall be no separate inspection fee except as hereinafter provided in Section 1703.67 “Schedule of Certificate Fees” and as provided in this section:
(a) Whenever an inspection has been requested and the work is found incomplete or not ready for inspection, or in need of correction, and a reinspection is necessary, there shall be a reinspection fee of: | $30.00 |

DIVISION F - VIOLATIONS AND PENALTY
No person shall:
(a) Fail or neglect to promptly notify the administrative officer having jurisdiction that work under a permit issued pursuant to the provisions of this Building and Housing Code has been started;
(b) Perform any work or install any appliance, device or equipment without first securing a permit required therefor under the provisions of this Code; or refuse, neglect or fail to secure any permit required under the provisions of this Code for the storage, use or handling of a hazardous substance; or block, wedge or otherwise hold in an open position any self-closing door required under the provisions of this Code to be maintained in a normally closed position;
(c) Perpetrate a fraud or misrepresent a material fact by reason of which any permit or approval required under the provisions of this Code is obtained; or pursue any trade or business or perform any work or service for which a license or certificate of registration is required under the provisions of this Code, without possessing such required valid license or certificate of registration;
(d) Refuse, neglect or fail to comply with an order to stop work issued under the provisions of this Code; or refuse, neglect or fail to comply with a notice to repair, rehabilitate or demolish a building or other structure declared to be unsafe under the provisions of this Code; or refuse, neglect or fail to comply with a notice requiring the abatement or removal of a violation or requiring compliance with any provision of this Code or any rule or regulation promulgated thereunder within the time limit set forth in such notice; or maintain a use or occupancy prohibited by this Code; or refuse, neglect or fail to maintain stair enclosures, stairways, fire escapes, exit passageways or other required means of egress in a safe and usable condition as required by this Code; or
(e) Violate any other provision of this Code or any rule or regulation promulgated thereunder, or fail to comply therewith or with any order issued thereunder, or cause or permit the same to be done.
