No owner, lessee, operator or employee or agent of an owner, lessee or operator of a store, place of business or establishment where the public may enter for the transaction of business shall request and accept any parcels or packages brought into the place of business or establishment by a member of the public without providing a receipt for the parcels or packages to be used as a claim for the parcels or packages upon exiting the store.

The owner, lessee or operator of a store, place of business or establishment where the public may enter for the retail purchase of merchandise shall have posted either on the merchandise itself or in a location immediately adjacent to or above or below the merchandise, visible to the public transacting business in such store, the price of all goods sold therein.

Whoever violates any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree and shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisoned not more than sixty days, or both, for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
