717.02 PERMIT REQUIRED.
   No person shall give or permit to be given in any building, room or place in the City, any public dance without first obtaining a permit from the Mayor and paying the fee provided in Section 717.03. No permit shall be issued for such public dance in a building, room or place which is unsafe or which is not constructed and maintained in accordance with laws of the State and the City.

717.03 FEE.
   The applicant shall pay the sum of one dollar ($1.00) at the time the application for the permit is filed.

717.04 HOURS FOR DANCES.
   All public dances shall be discontinued on or before 1:00 a.m. No person shall give or permit a dance to be given in any room or place under his control, from 12:00 Saturday night until 12:00 Sunday night.

717.05 POLICE OFFICER ON DUTY AT DANCES.
   The Chief of Police may, at any time he may see fit, provide a regular member of the Police Division to remain on duty in or about the dance hall from the beginning until the close of the dance.

717.99 PENALTY.
   Whoever violates any of the provisions of this chapter shall be fined not more than two hundred dollars ($200.00).
