§ 158.07 SLOPE OF BOTTOM.
   Slope and design of the bottom of the pool shall conform to generally accepted standards for safety, subject to the approval of the Building Commissioner.

§ 158.08 STEPS AND LADDERS.
   Two or more means of egress must be provided for all pools having a perimeter greater than 100 feet, and 1 means of egress for pools 100 feet or less. The number and location of egresses shall be subject to the approval of the Department of Buildings. The treads of all steps, ladders and stepholes shall be of nonslip construction.

§ 158.09 DIVING BOARDS.
   (A)   At least 12 feet of free and unobstructed headroom shall be provided above any diving board.
   (B)   The minimum depth of water in a diving area shall be determined as follows:

   (C)   Diving boards or platforms more than 30 inches above the water surface may not be installed unless approved by the Department of Buildings.
   (D)   Where multiple diving boards are used, the space between the center lines shall be not less than 12 feet, and no board shall be closer than 5 feet to a side wall. These dimensions shall apply both at the end wall and the point of maximum depth.

§ 158.10 DECKS.
   In-ground pools must have a smooth, nonslip, unobstructed deck of at least 2 feet in width, extending around the perimeter of the pool. The decks shall have a pitch of at least l/4 inch to the foot and designed so as to prevent deck drainage from entering the pool water.

§ 158.11 FENCES.
   All outdoor, residential swimming or wading pools and spray pool areas shall be completely enclosed with a wall, natural barrier, hedge, woven-wire type or wood fence, sufficient to make the body of water inaccessible to small children. The enclosure, including gates therein, shall not be less than 6 feet above the underlying ground, subject to maximum height limitations set forth in the Zoning Code, as amended. All gates must be equipped with latches or locks placed four feet above the underlying ground at sufficient height to be inaccessible from the outside to small children.

§ 158.12 RIGHT TO APPEAL.
   Any person aggrieved by the refusal to grant, or by the revocation or suspension of, a permit shall have the right to appeal therefrom to the Administrative Building Council of the city.
