5-1-5: ENFORCEMENT DUTIES; SERVING WARRANTS:

A. Apprehend Violators: It shall be the duty of the chief of police and/or all police officers to bring to justice all violators of city ordinances and federal and state laws, and to turn such violators over to the proper authorities.

B. Serving Warrants: The chief of police shall serve all warrants, writs, executions and other processes, properly directed and delivered to him. (1991 Code § 1-33)
