§ 26-304.   Definitions.
   The words and phrases in this Section shall have the meanings set forth herein for all activities occurring on and after the effective date of this Part. In this Part, words in the singular shall also include the plural:
      Board–Board of Supervisors of the Township.
      Domestic water well–any pipe, shaft, cavern, cavity, tubing, conduit or hole created by human activity, or any device inserted into any naturally occurring cavity, hole, cavern or other geologic feature for the purpose of removing or conveying water naturally occurring below the earth's surface to any location for human consumption or use, including geothermal heat pump systems.
      Major repair–the removal and replacement, whether complete or partial, or the addition, repair, patching or alteration in any manner of any casing in any existing domestic water well. The installation of a casing in an existing and previously uncased domestic water well shall constitute a major repair.
      Township–Dover Township, York County.
      Water Quality Coordinator/SEO–the individual or his agent designated by the Township to receive and evaluate applications for and issue or deny domestic water well permits pursuant to this Part. This individual is also the Township's primary Sewage Enforcement Officer (SEO).
