§ 15-701.   Establishment and Maintenance of Fire Lanes.
   1.   There shall be established and maintained on all property devoted to or open to public use, one or more unobstructed fire lane(s) to provide for ingress or egress of fire department vehicles, equipment and personnel. The said fire lane(s) shall be at least 12 feet in width and laid out for convenient access from the public thoroughfare and water supply to the building or buildings. The marking of said fire lane(s) and the posting of signs and their maintenance shall be at the expense of the property owner or occupant. The plans for fire lanes shall be approved by the Fire Chief duly appointed by Dover Township, or its authorized enforcement agent. The sign(s) required to be erected shall be approved prior to installation.
   2.   Parking shall be restricted in the vicinity of all fire hydrants erected on private property devoted to or open to public use same limitation as provided by the Motor Vehicle Code on a public thoroughfare.
