Any cart not claimed from the city within 30 days after notification to the owner shall be sold or otherwise disposed of by the city. Any unidentified cart, as described in § 8.36.140(D), may be sold or otherwise immediately disposed of at the discretion of the city. Any proceeds derived from the auction or disposal shall be used to pay the costs of removal, storage and related administrative procedures. Surplus proceeds derived from the auction or disposal shall be deposited in the General Fund of the city.
