10.24.080 Vehicles exceeding 6,000 pounds.
   (A)   No person shall park or stand any vehicle having a maximum gross weight exceeding 6,000 pounds on any street other than a designated truck route.
   (B)   No person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle having a maximum gross weight exceeding 6,000 pounds on any street in the city for a continuous period of time in excess of two hours.
   (C)   The provisions of this section shall not be effective with respect to any commercial vehicle making pickups or deliveries of goods, wares and merchandise from or to any building or structure located on the restricted streets and highways or for the purpose of delivering materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, remodeling or construction of any building or structure upon the restricted streets or highways for which a building permit has previously been obtained.
   (D)   The provisions of this section shall not be effective with respect to any authorized emergency vehicle as defined by the Vehicle Code.
   (E)   The provisions of this section shall not hamper construction, maintenance and repairs of essential public services and facilities, including those of public utilities subject to the regulatory jurisdiction of the California Public Utilities Commission.
   (F)   The Traffic Engineer shall erect signs giving notice of the parking restrictions of this section at each major entrance to the city.
