In accordance with the provisions of Cal. Gov’t Code §§ 54201 and 54202 and the policies, procedures and provisions contained in this chapter and Chapter 3.08, as well as the policies and procedures adopted by rules and resolutions of the Council, the authority for the purchase of supplies and equipment is vested in the city’s purchasing agent. The procedures, policies, and provisions provided for in Chapter 3.08 and applicable state and federal law shall govern all purchases. The position of purchasing agent may be filled by one or more persons.
