The Director of Finance shall establish a Tree Preservation Fund for the purpose of supporting the preservation, protection, maintenance, purchase and planting of trees in the City. Civil fines and funds collected as a result of damage to trees or removal of trees in violation of, or to adhere to, applicable sections of this Code, shall be deposited in the Tree Preservation Fund for disbursement as set forth in this section. Any person, firm, or corporation may make contributions to the Tree Preservation Fund and the Director of Finance is authorized to accept contributions to the Tree Preservation Fund for the purposes set forth in this section.
