§ 627.07 Improperly Providing Access to Firearms to a Minor
   (a)   No person shall leave a firearm so as to allow access to the firearm by a person who is under eighteen (18) years of age, except for lawful hunting, sporting, or educational purposes, including, but not limited to, instruction in firearm or handgun safety, care, handling, or marksmanship under the supervision and control of a responsible adult.
   (b)   A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree, and shall be fined one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) and imprisoned one hundred and eighty (180) days. The Court shall not suspend all or any portion of the fine and imprisonment.
