Upon receipt of the application from the Chief of Police, with his or her endorsement thereon approving the same, the Commissioner of Assessments and Licenses shall issue a license upon the payment of a fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) per year for each shooting gallery licensed to be operated. All such licenses shall be for the period of one (1) year and shall expire on September 30 next following the date of issuance, and there shall be no rebate for any lesser time. The license shall be conspicuously exhibited upon the premises.
