Whoever violates any of the provisions of this chapter shall be fined not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the first offense, and for each subsequent offense, not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) and may be imprisoned not more than ninety (90) days or both. Each separate sale or offering for sale at public auction of any article of gold, silver, plated ware, precious stones or imitations thereof, watches, clocks, jewelry or like merchandise in violation of the provisions of this chapter constitutes a separate offense.
