§ 543.01 Definitions
   As used in this chapter:
   (a)   “Sewage” means the water or waterborne wastes, and “industrial wastes” means the liquid wastes resulting from any commercial manufacturing or industrial operation or process, which waterborne or liquid wastes enter the system of sewerage or any portion thereof of the City from any premises having a connection therewith or thereto.
   (b)   “Water pollution” means the placing of any noxious or deleterious substance in or upon any watercourse, river, stream or lake bounding upon or within the City which renders the waters harmful or inimical to the public health, or to animal or aquatic life, or to the use of such waters for domestic water supply or for recreation.
   (c)   "Sewer rental charges", "sewerage service fees", and "sewerage service rates" all refer to monthly charges to customers for sewer services provided.
   (d)   All usage for sewer service connections of the City shall be metered by a water meter.
