If the City Fire Chief or the Fire Chief’s authorized representative, has probable cause to believe that explosives are being manufactured, sold, possessed, or used in violation of this chapter, the Fire Chief or the Fire Chief’s authorized representative may seize the explosives. Any seizure of explosives must be made under statutory and constitutional provisions governing searches and seizures. This section does not affect the authority of a peace officer, as defined in RC 2935.01, to make arrests for violations of this chapter or to seize explosives manufactured, sold, possessed, or used in violation of this chapter.
