(a) In every dwelling structure used for rooming occupancy not less than one (1) water closet, one (1) lavatory and one (1) bathtub or shower shall be supplied for each eight (8) persons or fraction thereof residing within the structure, provided that in a structure where single rooms are let only to males, urinals may be substituted for not more than one-half (1/2) the required number of water closets. In a structure where both sexes are accommodated, the water closets shall be separately calculated based on occupancy of each sex and shall be in rooms separated and marked for the use of each sex, except where not more than one (1) water closet is required.
(b) The facilities required in this section shall be in addition to and separate and apart from any such facilities required within a dwelling unit.
