Gas appliances may be installed in the sleeping area of a dwelling unit constructed in accordance with the remote room natural ventilation concept described in the Chicago Building Code as long as the following conditions are met:
1. The walls surrounding the sleeping area do not extend to the ceiling and are not equipped with operable closures.
2. The habitable space communicating directly with the sleeping area meets the requirements of an unconfined space.
