18-28-506.3.7 Clearances.
   Grease duct systems serving a Type I hood shall have a clearance to combustible construction of not less than 18 inches (457 mm).
   Exception: Listed and labeled factory-built commercial kitchen grease ducts installed in accordance with the Chicago Fire Prevention Code.
