14B-8-804 Interior floor finish.
The provisions of Section 804 of IBC are adopted by reference with the following modification:
1.   Revise Section 804.4.2 to read:
"804.4.2 Minimum critical radiant flux.
In all occupancies, interior floor finish and floor covering materials within enclosures for interior exit stairways, interior exit ramps, exit passageways, lobbies which are part of the exit discharge, corridors and rooms or spaces not separated from corridors by partitions extending from the floor to the underside of the ceiling shall withstand a minimum critical radiant flux. The minimum critical radiant flux shall be not less than Class I throughout Groups I-1, I-2, I-3 and R-4, not less than Class I within enclosures for interior exit stairways, interior exit ramps, exit passageways and lobbies which are part of the exit discharge in Groups A, B, E, F, H, I-4, M, R-1, R-2 and S, and not less than Class II in corridors and spaces not separated from corridors by partitions extending from the floor to the underside of the ceiling in Groups A, B, E, F, H, I-4, M, R-1, R-2 and S.
Exception: In areas other than within enclosures for interior exit stairways, interior exit ramps or exit passageways and lobbies which are part of the exit discharge, where a building is equipped throughout with an automatic sprinkler system in accordance with Section 903.3.1.1 or 903.3.1.2, Class II materials are permitted in any area where Class I materials are required and materials complying with DOC FF-1 "pill test" (CPSC 16 CFR Part 1630) or with ASTM D2859 are permitted in any area where Class II materials are required."
