7-40-060 Animals in retail food establishments.
   Except as otherwise provided in Section 4-8-031 or any other applicable law, it shall be unlawful for the owner of, or the person having the care or custody of any animal, to suffer or permit such animal to enter any portion of a premises that holds a retail food establishment license; provided, that the person owning or operating such store or place may permit a watchdog to remain therein if chained or bound in such a way that the dog cannot come in contact with any of the foodstuffs; provided, further, that when a person with a disability is accompanied by a service animal, neither shall be denied the right of entry and use of the facilities subject to § 35.136 of the Americans with Disabilities Act (28 C.F.R. § 35.136). Any violation of this provision will be enforced under Section 7-42-090.
