All methyl alcohol, or any preparation or mixture of any kind containing methyl alcohol or alcohol which has been denatured with methyl alcohol, sold, offered or sale, or kept with the intention of selling or using, shall be conspicuously labeled "Wood Alcohol" or "This preparation contains wood alcohol" and the word "Poison", together with a skull and crossbones, and the legend "The use of even small quantities of wood alcohol may cause blindness." The word "Poison" with the skull and crossbones shall be printed in red ink and shall be at least one-third of an inch in height, and the warning in regard to blindness shall be in letters at least one-fourth of an inch in height.
It shall be the duty of every person selling wood alcohol or preparations containing the same, to warn the purchaser of the dangerous and blinding effects of wood alcohol when used internally.
