§ 6-12 Local Law Enforcement Continuing Education Program.
   (a)   There is hereby established a Local Law Enforcement Continuing Education Program, pursuant to I.C., 5-2-8-2.
   (b)   The Program shall be funded as authorized by law, and all monies so received shall be deposited in the City's User Fee Fund (Fund 210).

ARTICLE 3. FIRE DEPARTMENT.
§ 6-25 Fire Department.
   As established in § 2-3 of this Code, the Fire Department is an Executive Department of the City.

§ 6-26 Members of the Fire Department.
   (a)   The Fire Department shall consist of a Fire Chief, and Assistant Fire Chiefs, and other ranks as are determined to be in best interests of the City. The chiefs shall have the right to select firemen by presenting their names to the Board of Public Works and Safety for confirmation and approval.
   (b)   The Board of Public Works and Safety shall appoint the Fire Chiefs to hold office until their successors are elected and qualified, unless they are sooner discharged by the Board of Public Works and Safety for good cause shown.
