1148.10 REPAIR OF MOTOR VEHICLES.
   In any R, CS, B-1 or B-2 District:
   (a)   No person shall perform repairs on any motor vehicle or boat for money or any other consideration.
   (b)   No person shall perform any, but minor repairs to motor vehicles owned by or registered to members of the same family residing at the address at which the repairs are being undertaken. No person shall perform any repairs permitted in subsection (c) hereof on a public street or alley or open space or within a front yard area.
   (c)   Such minor repairs permitted shall be restricted to servicing of spark plugs, batteries, distributors, replacement of mufflers and tailpipes, brakes, water hoses, fan belts, seat covers, wheel bearings, fuel and oil pumps and lines, servicing and repair of carburetors, wiring repairs and minor motor adjustments.
   (d)   Repairs which are not permissible include, but are not restricted to: major mechanical and body work such as straightening of body parts, painting, welding; or other work involving noise, glare, fumes, or smoke; or other activities customarily found in the operation of a repair garage or body shop as permitted in the B-4 Special Business District.
