There is hereby created the position of Nuisance Inspector to be performed by a designated employee within the office of Council and whose duties shall be to enforce compliance with the following provisions of the Codified Ordinances of the City: Chapter 355, Parking on Private Property; Chapter 505, Animals and Fowl; Chapter 521, Health, Safety and Sanitation; Chapter 551, Weeds and Litter; Chapter 905, Construction of Sidewalks and Curbs; Chapter 917, Trees; Section 1129.15, Repair of Motor Vehicles; Section 1129.16, Storage of Vehicles in Residential Districts; and such other laws and ordinances as Council shall hereinafter designate. The Nuisance Inspector shall be authorized to investigate and mediate complaints, issue citations for offenses which are minor misdemeanors, and initiate and sign complaints for criminal prosecutions for offenses which are misdemeanors of the fourth degree or greater. The Nuisance Inspector shall perform such other duties as Council may from time to time direct.
