105.06 MINORITY/WOMEN’S BUSINESS ENTERPRISE CONTRACT PROVISIONS.
   (a)   All contracts with the City shall include the following clause:
The bidder agrees to expend at least $                       of the Contract in the event the contract is awarded to such bidder for minority/women's business enterprises. For purposes of this pledge, the term "minority/women's business enterprise" means a bona fide business established as a sole proprietorship, partnership or corporation owned, operated and controlled by one or more minority persons or women who have at least fifty-one percent (51%) ownership. "Minority" includes African Americans, Asian/Pacific Islanders,
Hispanic/Latino Americans and Native American Indians. The minority or woman must have operational and managerial control, interest in capital, and earnings commensurate with the percentage of ownership. Minority/women's business enterprises may be employed as construction contractors, subcontractors, vendors or suppliers.
