OFFICIALS

§ 31.01 VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR.

   (A)   The position of Village Administrator is hereby established.

   (B)   The Village Administrator shall have the powers provided by R.C. § 735.273.

   (C)   The Village Administrator shall be paid a fixed salary, as determined by Council, and, due to the duties of the position, shall be exempt from overtime pay under the Federal air Labor Standards Act.

   (D)   Unless otherwise specified in the appointment contract, the Village Administrator shall be an elector of the village. The Village Administrator shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and Council.

   (E)   The Village Administrator is authorized to prepare job descriptions for village employees under his or her supervision.

§ 31.02 VILLAGE SOLICITOR.

   (A)   The duties of the Solicitor are to attend all regular meetings of Council; provide legal assistance and advice to all elected members of Council; provide legal assistance and advice to all elected members of the village and department heads; draft legislation when requested by the Mayor or any member of Council; and advise the Mayor in judicial matters relating to the Mayor’s Court and Municipal Court, when requested by the Mayor.

   (B)   Compensation shall be in an amount to be determined by Council from time to time, payable monthly.

§ 31.03 VILLAGE ENGINEER.

   The village contracts for engineering services on a yearly basis.

§ 31.04 VILLAGE FISCAL OFFICER.

   (A)   The combined duties of Village Clerk and Village Treasurer held in the combined elected position of Village Clerk-Treasurer are combined into the appointed office of Village Fiscal Officer pursuant to R.C. § 733.262.

   (B)   The Village Administrator, is hereby designated the Prevailing Wage Coordinator for the village. In the absence of the Village Administrator, the Fiscal Officer is designated the prevailing Wage Coordinator for the village.
