It shall be the duty of the Building Director or such other officer or employee as may be designated by the Board of Trustees to enforce the provisions of this Chapter and to make such inspections or tests as may be necessary in connection therewith. Whenever a test is necessary to determine whether any equipment or method complies with the standards prescribed, or referred to, in this Chapter, the enforcing official may accept the results of a test conducted by or under the supervision of the Underwriter's Laboratories, Inc. (1968 Code, §21.403)
