The driver, operator, attendant or helper of any tank truck, tank trailer or tank semi- trailer shall not leave the vehicle while it is being filled or while it is discharging through a delivery hose, and when so doing, such delivery hose shall be attached to the tank truck, tank trailer or semi-trailer and shall be considered a part of the vehicle.
It shall be unlawful for the driver, operator, attendant or helper of any tank truck, tank trailer or tank semi-trailer to smoke or hold any lighted cigar, cigarette or pipe while such vehicle is being operated on the streets or alleys of the Village, or while such vehicle is being filled or is discharging or having any repairs made thereto.
The ignition on the motor of any tank truck, tank trailer or tank semi-trailer shall be turned off during the making and breaking of hose connections, and likewise be turned off if the filling or discharging is done without the use of a power pump on such vehicle. (1968 Code, §21.309)
