2-2-16: EMERGENCY INTERIM SUCCESSOR:
   A.   Designation, Status, Qualifications, And Term Of Emergency Interim Successors: The village president, village trustees and the village clerk, and each member of the emergency management staff shall designate an interim successor for their office. These individuals shall be designated by name and title or function.
   B.   Powers And Duties: If, in the event of a disaster, any officer named in subsection A of this section, his/her emergency interim successor shall exercise the powers and discharge the duties of such officer. An emergency interim successor shall exercise these powers and discharge these duties only until such time as the lawful incumbent officer resumes the exercise of the powers and discharge of the duties of the office, or until where an actual vacancy exists, a successor is appointed to fill such vacancy or is elected as provided by law.
