Before any license may be issued, the applicant shall furnish a certificate by an insurance company authorized to do business in the state certifying that the applicant has an insurance policy in force for the full period for which the license is to be issued that provides general liability coverage in the amounts of at least one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) for injury or death (combined single limits), and that provides dramshop liability coverage at least to the maximum amount recoverable under applicable Illinois statutes, as such may be amended from time to time.
