In the event of the death, absence from Antioch or other disability of the Village Mayor preventing him from acting under this chapter or for any other Village purpose, and until the office is filled in the manner prescribed by law, the following Village officials shall succeed to the duties and responsibilities of the Village Mayor outlined in sections 2-8-4, 2-8-5 and 2-8-6 of this chapter:
A. Senior Trustee of the Village Board.
B. Village Administrator.
