Buildings and premises shall be used only for the following and other similar purposes:
Advertising signs.
Airports, provided that a permit for the construction of an airport shall only be issued by the enforcing officer upon favorable action of the zoning board after following the procedure and requirements specified under this title for appeals requiring a public hearing. Airport runways shall terminate not less than six hundred feet (600') from the airport property line.
Athletic fields.
Automobile service stations.
Bakeries.
Banks.
Barbershops.
Beauty parlors.
Billboards.
Bus or truck stations.
Carnivals and circuses, provided that at least half of the tract upon which said carnival or circus is located and not less than two (2) acres is provided for customer parking with gravel, crushed rock or other improved access roads, provided that such carnivals and circuses shall not operate more than fifteen (15) consecutive days, and provided that they shall be located not closer than one thousand feet (1,000') to any single-family dwelling except that of the owner or lessor of the site.
Catering establishments.
Churches and convents.
Cleaners shop, dyeing or dry cleaning shops.
Colleges.
Commercial schools, dancing or music schools.
Community buildings (grange halls, etc.).
Domestic appliance repair shops.
Dwellings (single-family).
Dwellings (two-family and multiple-family).
Filling stations.
Fire stations.
Flower gardening.
Food lockers.
Garage, public, provided that the portions used for storage and repair shall not be nearer than thirty feet (30') to the front of the building.
Golf driving ranges.
Greenhouses.
Hospitals, sanitariums, clinics but not animal hospitals.
Hotels.
Landfilling with nonodorous and noncombustible materials.
Laundries, provided not more than five (5) persons are employed on the premises.
Libraries.
Lodge halls.
Messenger or telegraph stations.
Milk distribution stations.
Nurseries.
Offices.
Orchards.
Painting or decorating shops.
Parking lots.
Parks.
Photograph galleries.
Police stations.
Poster panels.
Printing shops.
Private clubs.
Professional occupations.
Public utility substations, booster stations, etc., but not including power generation or gas manufacturing plants.
Radio stations.
Railroad trackage and depots, but not roundhouses and repair shops.
Restaurants.
Retail business.
Rooming or boarding houses.
Sales or show rooms.
Schools.
Shoe repair shops.
Storage warehouses.
Studio parlors.
Swimming pools.
Tailor shops.
Tinsmithing shops.
Tire repair shops.
Tourist camps and motels, provided that camps shall operate under the state hotel laws, that an area of not less than one thousand five hundred (1,500) square feet shall be provided for each unit, that gravel or other improved surface access roads shall be constructed to parking areas, and that parking area off the public right of way shall be furnished at the rate of one parking place for each unit.
Trailer camps, provided that an area of not less than one thousand five hundred (1,500) square feet shall be allocated to each trailer, that gravel, crushed rock or other improved surface roadway shall be installed to furnish access to each trailer site, that parking area off the public right of way shall be furnished at the rate of one parking place for each unit, and that sanitary facilities shall be furnished conforming to the requirements of the county health department and the state department of health.

Used car sales lots.

Any building or premises used primarily for any of the above purposes may have not more than forty percent (40%) of the floor area devoted to industry or storage purposes incidental to such primary use and provided that no more than five (5) employees shall be engaged in such industry at any one time.
