NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE
A certain document, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of code enforcement of the city, being marked and designated as the national electrical code, 2020 edition, as amended and adopted by the Oklahoma uniform building code commission; is hereby adopted as the electrical code of the city; for the purpose of practical safeguarding of persons and building and their contents from hazards arising from the use of electricity for light, heat, power, radio, signaling and for other purposes; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said national electrical code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this section, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in section 150.061 of this chapter.

The following articles of the national electrical code, as set forth in section 150.060 of this chapter, are hereby revised as follows:
Article 210.62 Add: the word “grade.”
Article 334.10 Delete (2), (3), (4) and (5) change (1) to read:
1. One and two-family dwellings.
Article 334.12 Add: 11. Any steel or metal structure unless specifically approved by the electrical inspector.
Article 356.12 Add: 5. Liquid tight flexible nonmetallic conduit, type LFNC-C, (known as smurf-tube) is not permitted for use unless specifically approved by electrical inspector.
