The Parks and Recreation Board, hereinafter referred to as the Board, is established to plan, develop and conduct community-wide recreational and leisure facilities and activities designed to strengthen family and community relationships. The Board shall also plan and oversee City programs and encourage other programs to enhance the leisure time activities of the City’s residents of all ages. The Board consists of nine members appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Council. Members of the Board shall be residents of the City, and all shall be over the age of 18 years.
