(a) The salary and other benefits, if any, of the Inspector of Buildings shall be as determined from time to time by Council.

(b) The Inspector of Buildings shall be entitled to the same hospitalization, vacation, holiday, sick leave and group insurance privileges as those accorded certain employees pursuant to the provisions of Sections 260.04, 260.05, 260.06, 260.08 and 260.11, provided, however, that when the Inspector of Buildings is also the Street Commissioner, the basis for payment for such privileges shall be an assumed regularly scheduled 40 hours per week, eight hours per day, for the combined offices. Notwithstanding anything contained herein, if the Inspector of Buildings serves part-time as defined in Section 1440.03, this division (b) shall not be applicable to the Inspector of Buildings.
