(A) The Mayor, with the consent of the City Council, may appoint such officers as shall be required by ordinance or otherwise required by law. The Mayor, by and with the consent of the City Council, shall appoint such a number of regular police officers as may be necessary. The City Council may establish and provide for the appointment of members of a law enforcement reserve force as provided by law.
(B) All appointed officials may be removed at any time by the Mayor except police officers, who may be removed from office pursuant to § 34.32.
(C) The appointed officials to be appointed by the Mayor, with the consent of the City Council as required by ordinance or otherwise required by law, shall be as follows:
(1) City Attorney; see § 31.15 of the Wahoo Municipal Code;
(2) City Physician: see § 31.18 of the Wahoo Municipal Code;
(3) Police Chief; see § 31.19 of the Wahoo Municipal Code;
(4) EMS Director; see § 34.50 of the Wahoo Municipal Code;
(5) City Engineer; see § 31.22 of the Wahoo Municipal Code;
(6) Special Engineer; see § 31.23 of the Wahoo Municipal Code;
(7) City Administrator; see § 31.24 of the Wahoo Municipal Code;
(8) City Clerk; see § 31.30 of the Wahoo Municipal Code;
(9) City Treasurer; see § 31.31 of the Wahoo Municipal Code;
(10) Street Commissioner; see § 31.25 of the Wahoo Municipal Code;
(11) Director of Civil Defense; see § 31.26 of the Wahoo Municipal Code;
(12) Building Inspector/Zoning Administrator; see § 31.27 of the Wahoo Municipal Code and Section 9.03 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Wahoo;
(13) Plumbing and Mechanical Inspector; see § 31.29 of the Wahoo Municipal Code;
(14) Park and Recreation Director; see § 31.16 of the Wahoo Municipal Code;
(15) Fire Chief; see § 31.21 of the Wahoo Municipal Code;
(16) Librarian; see the City of Wahoo - City of Wahoo Library Board Agreement dated June 30, 2016;
(17) Utilities General Manager; see § 33.07(F)(1) of the Wahoo Municipal Code.
(D) Any appointed official appointed by the Mayor, with the consent of the City Council, to two or more appointed positions shall not receive a salary greater than the highest salary of the appointed office to which said person is appointed.
