Employment Provisions
   EDITOR’S NOTE: The City of Vienna Employees’ Retirement Plan which incorporates the original agreement for employees of the Water and Sewer Departments dated February 15, 1964, as revised to include other employees, and as amended on January 25, 1973, July 25, 1974, and January 9, 1975, was approved by Council on February 26, 1976. Interested parties may consult the Recorder for information pertaining to such Plan.
   Pursuant to a resolution passed on December 11, 2014, Council adopted the “Personnel Policy and Procedures Manual” a copy of which is on file at City Hall.

151.01 VACATIONS.
   (a)   Each employee having completed the following number of years of continuous employment with the City shall, during the calendar year in which his or her anniversary falls, be entitled to the following number of days with pay.

per each year above 20
   (b)   An employee may elect to accumulate vacation leave to add to the regular vacation leave to be taken in subsequent years, the number of days which may be accumulated and the maximum number of days which may be accumulated for the various years of employment shall be as follows:

   (c)    The time for each employee's vacation shall be arranged and fixed by the head of his department. (Passed 1-12-84.)
151.02 HOLIDAYS.
   All days set forth in West Virginia Code 2-2-1, as amended, are hereby declared legal holidays for all fun time City employees. This section shall be retroactive to March 5, 1988. (Ord. 0-7-89. Passed 4-13-89.)
