141.01 ESTABLISHED; MEMBERSHIP.
   There is established a Fire Division which shall consist of a Chief, and such other officers and employees as Council shall by budget or otherwise provide.

141.02 CONTRACTS WITH SURROUNDING MUNICIPALITIES FOR EMERGENCY PROTECTION.
   The Mayor and Director of Administration may enter into contracts on behalf of the City with any city or village in counties contiguous to the County or any fire district owning motor- driven fire equipment, as they may deem proper, providing for the exchange of fire-fighting equipment and personnel in the event of an emergency. The contracts shall provide for the furnishing of fire protection in the event of the existence of a fire so large that the municipality within whose limits the fire exists is unable to handle it. The contracts shall not require either party thereto to leave unprotected or in jeopardy its own territory and shall provide that the party making an emergency run shall bear all expenses, loss or damage incurred thereby. The contracts shall be for a term of three years but may be terminated upon thirty days' written notice.

141.03 INDEMNITY TO EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS.
   The City shall defend and indemnify any member of the Fire Division and Box 13 who is certified EMT-A ADV EMT-A or paramedic from any claim or cause of action arising out of the performance of the functions of an emergency medical technician as defined in Ohio R.C. 4731.82 to 4731.99.
