§ 9.36.010   Injuring pavement.
   No person shall drive or permit to be driven along or upon any paved street any vehicle or traction engine any tire of which is worn or is not smooth or that has a sharp or uneven surface, or any vehicle or traction engine to any tire or wheel of which is attached cleats or spikes or uneven surfaces or any device that will cause drainage to the pavement in the street. Nothing contained in this section shall be deemed to prohibit the use of anti-skid chains, or pneumatic tires attached to the wheels of motor vehicles.

§ 9.36.020   Heavy traffic prohibited.
   No person shall drive or operate a heavy-laden vehicle or any vehicle employed in carrying heavy freight, natural oil, crude petroleum, gasoline or regularly employed in carrying goods or merchandise on any street or parts of streets as follows:
   (A)   K Street from the north line of Inyo Street to the south line of King Street;
   (B)   Tulare Street from the east line of J Street to the west line of L Street;
   (C)   Kern Street from the east line of J Street to the west line of L Street; and
   (D)   Deliveries; trailers: Nothing herein contained shall be deemed to prohibit trucks making deliveries within the described boundaries; but no truck making any such delivery shall have a trailer attached.

§ 9.36.030   Authority to designate streets.
   The Chief of Police, subject to the approval of the Manager, is hereby authorized and directed to designate streets in addition to those herein enumerated whenever the public safety may require.
