BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, COMMITTEES, ETC.*

*   Editors Note: Ord. No. 4394, approved by a majority of the qualified electors on Nov. 4, 1975, and subsequently approved by the governor on Jan. 9, 1976, repealed former ch. XXIV, which had pertained to boards, and added a new ch. XXIV as hereinabove set out. Former ch. XXIV had been derived from Ord. No. 2080, effective Nov. 10, 1960.

Sec. 1. Authority to establish, prescribe Powers and duties.
The mayor and council shall establish the library board and such boards, committees, commissions, authorities and other bodies as required by law or as they deem necessary or advisable. The number of members, their powers, duties, qualifications, method of appointment and removal, terms of office and compensation shall be as established by law or ordinance.
