ELECTRICITY
The construction, installation, replacement and maintenance of electric facilities shall be governed by:
(A) The other national codes which have previously been adopted by the city; and
(B) Any other federal or state laws which may be applicable.

(A) Effective May 1, 1997, in order to provide adequate electric service, each structure with electric service shall have a minimum service of 200 amps. This shall apply to:
(1) All new construction; and
(2) All structures where the size of an addition is at least 25% of the existing floor space.
(B) The Building Inspector shall inform other building permit applicants of this section even though the project may be exempt from its coverage.

INTERNATIONAL RESIDENTIAL CODE
A certain document, two copies of which are on file in the office of the Building and Zoning Department being marked and designated as the International Residential Code, 2012 edition, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the International Residential Code of the city for regulating and governing the construction, alteration, movement, enlargement, replacement, repair, equipment, location, removal and demolition of detached one- and two-family dwellings and multiple single-family dwellings (townhouses) not more than three stories in height with separate means of egress as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of the Residential Code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this section, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in this code.
