GENERAL PROVISIONS
(A) When moving a building, prior to entry upon a public thoroughfare, the City Building Official shall be notified and shall inspect for adequacy both as to condition and type of equipment to be used in moving the building.
(B) Should the Building Official deem the equipment inadequate, such steps as are necessary shall be taken to correct any and all deficiencies to the satisfaction of the Building Official, and the building shall not be entered upon a public thoroughfare without final approval by the City Building Official.

No person shall move any house, building or other structure over any street, alley or other public thoroughfare without first notifying all public utilities and the Police and Fire Departments of the proposed route to be taken and the proposed time of the move.

(A) When the moving of a house, building or other structure is commenced, flaggers must be posted ahead of and behind the moving to give proper warning.
(B) If it becomes necessary to leave the building or structure on public property, there shall be placed around the property, and all equipment in use, red lights, flares or other warning devices; provided that, no building or structure shall be allowed to remain stationary on and in the streets and ways for more than 24 hours, except on weekends.
(C) Any moving at night must be accompanied by sufficient lights and flares continually burning for the protection of the public.
