A. Requirements Of County Health Department: The water supply serving the pool and all plumbing fixtures, including drinking fountains, lavatories and showers, shall meet the requirements of the County Health Department for potable water, unless waived by the County Health Department.
B. Protection Against Backflow: All portions of the water distribution system serving the swimming pool and auxiliary facilities shall be protected against backflow. Water introduced into the pool, either directly or to the recirculation system, shall be supplied through an air gap (Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code, 1988 Edition, as updated). When such connections are not possible, the supply shall be protected by a suitable backflow preventer (Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code, 1988 Edition, as updated) installed on the discharge side of the last control valve to the fixture, device or appurtenance.
