6-1-3: ON STREET PARKING REGULATIONS:
   A.   Definition: For the purpose of this section, in addition to the common definition, "vehicle" shall also include unattached trailer, camper or boat.
   B.   Restrictions: In addition to other parking regulations in this Code, it shall be unlawful for the owner of a vehicle:
      1.   To park or allow to remain standing any vehicle on City streets that visually or physically hinders the ability to enter or exit driveways safely. (Exceptions see D 2.)
      2.   To park or allow to remain standing any vehicle in the same location on any street for a continuing period of time exceeding twenty-four (24) hours.
      3.   To move or allow to be moved a vehicle in any manner or leave a parking space and then reenter it to avoid the intent of this section.
   C.   Prohibited Times: It is unlawful for the owner of a vehicle to park or allow to remain standing such vehicle on any public street in the City between November 15 and March 15 between the hours of twelve o'clock (12:00) midnight and seven o'clock (7:00) A.M., or until the street has been plowed after a measurable snowfall.
   D.   Exceptions:
      1.   Any resident of the City may request permission to park any vehicle on the street in excess of twenty-four (24) hours when the same is required by emergency or other unusual circumstances.
      2.   The Police Department, for good cause shown, may grant such permission. The Police Department shall be the sole judge as to the necessity and requirements for the granting of such permission.
   E.   Snowbound Vehicles: It shall be unlawful for the owner of a vehicle to allow the vehicle to remain standing upon any public street for longer than forty-eight (48) consecutive hours after such vehicle has become snowbound due to snowplows plowing around the vehicle. Such vehicles shall be presumed to be abandoned. Abandoned vehicles shall be subject to removal and impound in accordance with Utah Code Annotated section 41-6a-1406, as amended, or its successor provision. (Ord. 2017-06, 10-3-2017; amd.
