§ 70.99 PENALTY.

   (A)   (1)   Any violation of the following sections shall constitute a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than $50 or imprisonment for not more than 30 days, or both: §§ 71.01 and 71.02 and Ch. 74, Schd. III, IV, VII, VIII and X of this title.

      (2)   Any violation of the following sections shall constitute misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than $1: §§ 72.01, 72.02 and 72.03 and Ch. 75, Schd. II, III and IV of this title.

      (3)   (a)   Any violation of the following sections shall subject the offender to a civil penalty as indicated:

            1.   Section 72.01 and Ch. 75, Schd. II: $10;

            2.   Sections 72.02 and 72.03(B) and 72.04: $10;

            3.   Section 72.01(A)(2): $25; and

            4.   Section 70.03: $1 for the first offense, $10 for the second offense and $25 for the third and succeeding offenses.

         (b)   If the offender fails to pay this penalty within ten days after being cited for a violation and notified of the penalty, the town may seek to collect it in a civil action in the nature of debt.

   (B)    Any persons, firms, corporations, associations and partnerships violating the terms of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $50 or imprisonment not to exceed 30 days, or both, for each offense.
