§ 12-2-1 WORD USAGE.
   (A)   For the purpose of this title, certain numbers, abbreviations, terms, and words used in this title shall be used, interpreted, and defined as set forth in this section.
   (B)   The word PERSON includes a firm, association, organization, partnership, trust, company, or corporation as well as an individual.
   (C)   The word SHALL is a mandatory requirement, the word MAY is a permissive requirement, and the word SHOULD is a preferred requirement.
   (D)   The words USED or OCCUPIED include the words INTENDED, DESIGNED, or ARRANGED TO BE USED OR OCCUPIED.
   (E)   The word LOT includes the words PLOT or PARCEL.
   (F)   Unless the context clearly indicates to the contrary, words used in the present tense include the future tense; words in the plural number include the singular; the word HEREIN means this title.
   (G)   A BUILDING includes a STRUCTURE, a BUILDING or STRUCTURES includes any part thereof.
