408.09 APPLICATION OF TRAFFIC CODE TO GOVERNMENT VEHICLES.

(a) The provisions of this Traffic Code shall apply to the driver of any vehicle owned by the United States in the service of the United States government or owned by the State, the County, the City or the School District in which the City is located.

(b) No such driver shall violate any of the provisions of this Traffic Code, except as otherwise provided in this Traffic Code. The exemptions granted in Section 430.01 shall not apply to such vehicles.
