1-5-2: PROCEDURE FOR REQUESTED INFORMATION:
The purpose of this section is to establish a procedure for the village in handling requests for information, and the following conditions shall apply: (1984 Code § 1-8-1)
   A.   All requests for information will be reasonable in nature, and ten (10) working days will be allowed for the furnishing of said information. (1984 Code § 1-8-1; amd. 2010 Code)
   B.   All requests for information from the public records of the village shall be directed to the village clerk, and a fee of fifty cents ($0.50) per page for any documentation furnished will be charged and paid in advance to the clerk at his office in the village. Should the number or nature of the requests become extremely time consuming, the village is entitled to charge postage and a fee for reasonable and necessary time for the assembling and mailing of said information.
   C.   Any ordinances, resolutions or other documentation published according to state statute and records of closed meetings of the village board of trustees will not be furnished, and no requests for automatic mailings of specific documents will be allowed.
   D.   All requests for information shall be a matter of public record of the village and shall be directed to the village clerk. The village clerk shall respond to all such requests in accordance with the Illinois freedom of information act 1 . (1984 Code § 1-8-1)
