10-16-1: CREATED:

   A.   There is hereby created a regional planning commission of the city of Sayre, as authorized in 11 Oklahoma Statutes sections 46-101 through 46-104, 1991, et seq.

   B.   Said commission shall be composed of the five (5) members of the city of Sayre planning commission. The mayor and city manager of the city of Sayre, chairman of the board of county commissioners of Beckham County, Oklahoma, the county engineer, and two (2) Sayre city council members, appointed by the mayor and approved by a majority of the council, shall be ex officio voting members of the regional planning commission but shall not be counted for purpose of a quorum. Members of the regional planning commission shall serve without pay.

   C.   The qualifications, appointment and removal and terms, rules and regulations of the Sayre regional planning commission shall be the same as those established for the Sayre city council. (Ord. 11-05-17, 5-17-2011)

10-16-2: JURISDICTION:

In addition to the jurisdiction of the Sayre planning commission, the regional planning commission shall have jurisdiction over a regional district which shall be construed to mean any land outside the incorporated city limits of the city of Sayre, Oklahoma, within an area whose any one boundary, at any point, shall be a distance of three (3) miles from the incorporated limits of Sayre.
